Recently moved to a house that has 5 or 6 peonies planted in a fairly shady location (front of house under some dogwoods). I've never grown peonies, but I don't think this is where they should be. They're dormant now, of course, so I need to know what to do as they break dormancy. Some questions:

How much sun do they like? I have a sunny spot I can move them to.
When should I transplant? Is it too late (zone 7a) to do so now?
Do you fertilize before or after bloom?
What do you do with the foliage after bloom?
Anything else I should know?

Thanks!
