I decided today was the day to do some clipping on the walsai fig. There was a branch coming from the inside of the lowest curve of the stem that was spindly and weak as well as being on the wrong side of the curve. It had to go. Then I looked for crossing branches and two coming out literally on top of one another. After removing those, I trimmed the shoots that I felt were too long for the foliage density I wanted. I pinched those back to 3 or 4 nodes.

I feel like I should have done more to shape the tree but I would rather go slower than make the mistake of cutting too much. Branches don't glue back worth a darn.
