Hey guys. Been really busy this week getting the studio set up. I did have time to finish this painting. I could keep working on it, but I am going to stop for now.
It is 11X14 oil on crescent 300 cold press illustration board.

Nicely done, James. He has a look about him. We have had foxes that go out in the pasture paddocks behind the barn and hunt mice early on summer mornings. They play with their catch like cats do and it looks, through the ground mist, as if they are dancing the sun up.

Wow, that's a gorgeous fox! I love the brushwork - makes the fur look soft.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the positive feedback. I'm working on a new painting now, trying some techniques and materials I haven't used before. Wish me luck. :)

After seeing that not sure you need Luck, you have great talent and an eye for making him come alive before my eyes. Keep up the great work!

Wow, you are really talented. The eyes just have such life in them. We had a very healthy looking red fox earlier this spring with a big bushy tail, who hunted in what was then lovely lush grass about 18" high. He would spring up out of the grass and then be hidden by it, then spring up again--really beautiful to watch.
