Hi All,

New here, but looks great~

I would like to plant some Eucalyptus Citriadora on our small ranch in southern California. We have a horse arena that needs light, high shade, and I like the clean trunks of these trees- they'll make fast shade but we can still see through them to watch what else is going on around the place. There are oodles of these trees in our city, all apparently in good health.

However, I cannot find any to buy. The growers apparently won't bother because they are vulnerable to borers, and the spray that used to keep them healthy (Kaldane?) needs an applicator's license now, apparently.

I SURE want these pretty trees... but sounds like there are significant problems with them. Can anyone add to the info I've gleaned, suggest growers, or suggest a tree that would offer similar benefits?

Thanks much,

Suzi in Chino Hills
