in the lower left corner is a lily (?) of some type. Any idea what they are?

The only other thing I see in lower left besides the hosta is solomons seal. Is that what you're referring to?

Are you talking about the yellow blooms down there? Do you have a closer shot of them? That's a very pretty picture, by the way! I can almost smell the coolness - how gorgeous!

I'm talking about the bluish leaves. Thought perhaps it was some type of Hosta but not sure. Some seed pods found their way into my pocket...not sure how.
Anyway, Thanks for the thoughts. the leaves are very tough and large and there was a flower that had turned to pods. The flower came up through the center. I never saw the flower in bloom.
BTW This is a path through Stanley Park in Vancouver.
They frown on digging up plants unfortunatly so my hubby made me leave the trowel at home...he can be so unreasonable!

It's hosta.
