This orchid has been very healthy but hasn't bloomed since I bought it several years ago. I was quite hopeful that this was the year because it had lots of new growth. It has long strappy leaves, so it's been on a three foot stand. Even with the stand the leaves still touch the ground. It's blown over several times. It fell over last night and the pot broke. I can't figure out what to do with it.
The first thing I need to figure out is what size pot to put it in. Should I put it in a bigger pot or one that is the same size? Looks root bound, but maybe it likes it like that? I can't remember what type it is -- may not have had a tag. I bought it at Costco, and it had huge blooms covering several stalks.
Any ideas on how to raise a big pot up, so it doesn't blow over?
