I was at a local nursery early last fall and I heard what I thought was a low flying helicopter passing by my right ear. I swear I felt a rotor wash... Then this orange wasp, it was 10" long at least, flew past me and headed for some blooming flowers. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that it wasn't quite 10" long, but it was still big enough to scare me off of gardening for a couple months. I'm relieved to learn that it's not agressive, and that it's not a low flying cruise missle, either. Thanks.
