Hi, this is my first time posting at this forum. I'm hooked on hippeastrums and amaryllises. Does anyone know of a truly dark red/black hippeastrum hybrid/cultivar? I have found several with gorgeous photos or plant tags that look like what I want, but they always turn out red and I find most of them look the same or very similar at least. Here is a photo of my 3 "dark reds" that are flowering at the moment. The one on the left is 'Carmen' and 'Benfica' is on the right, with 'Black Pearl' at the bottom centre. It isn't quite open, but sure doesn't look like a black pearl to me, more like a tangerine or an orange lol!

    Thank-you for any suggestions possible!
