If this link doesn't work, the thread is located in the Dave's Garden forum, it's called "New Groups Possible?", and it's led by bwilliams.
Everyone come on over - it's for those who are involved in the processes of breeding as well as for those who'd like to learn and possibly do it themselves.
We will need to stay away from politics, but this is of particular concern to folks growing heirlooms, since genetically modified plants' pollen is known to cross with plants nearby either in the wild or neighbors' farms and gardens. We can not discuss the political aspects of that issue, but understanding processes of pollination within the context of this proposed forum's intent seems like it would be very useful for those who care about heirlooms.
