I read somewhere recently that worms, like earthworms, are not native to North America (please don't jump on ME cause I didn't say it, I just read it) but is it the WORMS that are imported, Tamara? Thanks for an informative article!

That's a great question, Carrie. I hadn't even really thought about it, so I googled the name and this article says they came over from Europe and into the U.S. through Canada. http://ipm.ncsu.edu/AG295/html/imported_cabbageworm.htm
Not sure if it was the worm or the butterfly that came over.
