| So glad I picked up and had started on Sunday a piece for myself..needed to get the support unit for my Taurus 3, got it, installed it and now ready to enjoy my day!
Who knows how much I'll get done, but am hoping all of it..at least the cutting and soldering!
Edited to say my girlfriend Gail made the pattern..

| Wow what a cute piece you've got going on there!!! You are going to get it cut and foiled and soldered in one day??? Amazing!!! The foiling takes me the longest...the soldering (which I do NOT do well!!!) is the next longest.
I love your glass your using for the vase, it makes it look as if there are petals floating in it. I have used that glass (cant remember what its called.) before and it always look so nice. The sky and the table color choices are dead on and look perfect!
Your girlfriend made the pattern. She has some great talent for that!!! |

| Didn't get it all done got sidetracked...
As for how much I can accomplish - I cheat..
I have the Taurus 3 saw which does wonders and I have the large foiler..not I've told you my secret you won't think I'm so talented..lol...
This is as far as I got with working at home answering calls and going to the Dr.'s office...
Gail made 2 beautiful Georgian Bay scenes and this one..she teaches stained glass..has a son who is Autistic and so each year she designs a project, makes it and donates it to the society that she belongs to in efforts of raising money..last year it made over $2,000.
So I'm very lucky to have all 3... Click the image for an enlarged view.

| I dont know Bettypauze I have the taurus too but I swear I couldnt get it all done in one day!! You have a foiling machine??? Maybe that makes it so much faster!! Ha ha!!
Its turning out great and Im so impressed with it...and your work.
Gail sounds like a terrific lady!!!
Oh and I finally remembered what the glass was called...confetti!!!! |

| Chickeemama...do you cut out each piece with your Taurus, maybe that the different..for example if you look at the water I glue a copy of the water section onto the glass then I cut out the pieces, set aside those that are replace with another color..sure beats piece by piece..then if there is a difficult piece, I solder all and then trace the piece I need and it fits in like a charm.. |

| I do both. I cut with the taurus and the good ol hand cutter. I really think Im so slow at foiling and soldering!!!!
I have done leaded glass but not a lot of copper foil so Im really bad at foiling the pieces and soldering them...I taught myself so that also is probably why Im slow!! |

| Betty, I'm cking up on you..how much did you get finished?
I worked on a lamp shade I started a couple months back. I finished the upper panels, but now don't like the look of the skirt, so have spent way too much time redesigning it and probably will end up back to the orginial.
we need an update from you! |

| LOL, hanging my head once again in shame... got to making rag quilts on the weekend and no stained glass..now that I've tidied up my work area just a tad I'll take it out..now that I know someone in this world is checking up on me I'll be sure to get it done...
As for your lamp shade..must agree, you want to keep on but sometimes it's better just to start over...can you un-solder that section and recut, refit? |

| OK..got it out, set on table ready to finish this weekend..after looking SacValley at your beautiful butterfly I'm wondering why I picked such a project..but then my girlfriend who owns the stained glass studio designed this one herself .. best I stop complaining and procrastinating and get it done...once I put clear glass around the oval and then bevels to frame it in I might like it... | Betty, you picked it because it's a beautiful peaceful scene. I know you'll love it by the end of the week. I like the confetii (sp) glass in the vase, very nice touch. |

| Betty, betty, betty,
to many beautiful projects, so little time in one day. I have an idea! put all your projects names on little pieces of paper and put them in a jar and pull out the winner (project) of the day!

| I love the piece you are doing. Also think the pieces of paper in a basket would help on which project to do. LOL That can be a problem
