| I received this from my mom who lives in Florida 2 years ago, I don't remember what she told me that it was. I had it in my house and it really never did anything, I did put it in my Greenhouse in Nov when we finished it. Now it is just blooming so pretty... So I guess it likes it in there but what in the world is it?? Click the image for an enlarged view.

| I think it is Adenium; perhaps A. obesum, the Desert Rose.

| Wow, your plant is SO MUCH prettier than mine! I love this plant. It looks exotic and no one around here has one. So while it is not rare, people seldom see them and think I have a real collectors item. Mine is several years old and the truck has gotten quite large and prehistoric looking. At no time did it flower to the extent yours has. I'm glad you posted this picture! |

| I have one too. I bought it years ago on a clearance sale. It looked half dead but I loved the way the "trunk" looked so I bought it. Have had it for about 5 years now. I move it outside in the summer and the blooms are amazing. It looks cool even without the blooms in the house. The leaves do fall off occasionally but mine has a bonsia shape to it so I love it even then! |

| No, it's definitely Adenium. Adenium and oleanders are both in the same family so they do have some resemblance, but oleander has smaller flowers that are flatter/less tubular, and the leaves are a slightly different shape. And the flowers on oleander tend to be primarily one color with maybe slight shading variations, not clearly two-tone like this one. |
