2 ornamental pear trees in front
1 pussy willow and 1 rose or sharon in back - both good size
Last year I put in a pondless stream, added several trees from box stores - so not huge but 7 -9 ft tall trees that will take time - cause I have NO shade from mid-day until dark unless I'm on the porch swing - best place to be anyway. Planted perennials, few roses, and all the things I could. Now I want to add shrubs - evergreens mainly - I do have several small azalea bushes in the one location with shade. But I need ideas for adding small boxwoods, or things of the time period. I love small but tall, upright shrubs.
Are there books you can recommend for adding shrubs to your landscape? Suggestions you have for mixing shrubs with perennials/roses in full sun?
I will take a few pictures to show a couple spots I want to 'cozy up'.
Thanks in advance for any info - Kathy
