I use a dremel tool for the really hard seeds. Much easier to nick them.

totally agree with not buying uninformative packets. beyond that, i won't buy from a website that doesn't give specific info and a picture or photo of the mature plant.

not a big deal, but the math is a little shaky. if you need 100 plants, and there's an 85% germination rate, you should plant 100/.85 = 118. divide the desired yield by the germination rate.

very close here, but if you needed a lot of plants, and the germination rate was significantly lower than 100%, you might come up quite short.
