| Thank you! I am an iris lover, for sure. But tulips and roses are great, too. Now that we got a digital camera I'm hoping to bring more wild plants in to my life. So far I have not used photos in my painting process at all. Plein air or still life in the studio. But, with wild flowers, it might make my life easier not to be out sitting on ant hills so much! What do you think? |

| Beautiful Iris. I wish I could paint that loose. Just relitivly new to WC & haveing a hard time "cutting loose" It's all those years of oil & acrylic painting!
Funny about the ants, we were getting fire wood yesterday & I sat on a bank to push a log over with my feet & I sat right in a buge ant hill! By the time I realized I had ants on me there were everywhere, yes...everywhere! It's suprising how fast you can get out of a pair of jeans! LOL! Bj |

| Laverne, I will post more art work soon. I don't have a website yet. Thanks. Bj, I think water color is the most difficult kind of painting. And there are so many different approaches. Some people are very methodical and build up washes and then there are those who just "let it flow". I go through a lot of paper. Glad I'm not the only one with the ants! Although I'm sorry you got bitten. Oww. Last summer I was painting near a hill of red ants and I thought I was far away enough to be out of their path. Ha! You know, ants seem "mean" to me and bees seem "nice". If you tell bees why you are there and that you mean no harm they will generally leave you alone. But ants don't listen! |

| Funny! I really dislike ants. It never fails if I go sit on grass that has 1 ant hill in the whole lawn, you can bet I'll pick that spot to sit beside! It's a knack!
I really want to achieve that "let it flow" look. Practice practice & more practice & yes, go through a lot of paper! |

| Mostly just for pleasure. I do sell greeting cards locally. They are commercially printed from scans of my watercolors. The ones on this thread are images from the cards. I do not photograph my own work as well as professional photographers do but I am learning, little by little. Glad you enjoy them! |
