Dear Paul,
I have noticed the wild Alberta roses near our home by the Bow River in Canada are developing knobby black growths on the stems, sometimes to ground level. I have been cutting them back as low as possible to encourage new growth - hopefully without this problem. There is a lot of black knot in the choke cherries. Is it possible the black knot has gone into the roses? Thank you
