Hi, just cruising & lurking:) realised I never posted our first project. They arent bad. They arent good either, but we had to start somewhere. The teacher said SG has a 4 foot range. It's supposed to be veiwed from 4 feet away!
Tonite we learn etching, so I might be posting that tabletop real soon;) Stay tuned.

I keep forgetting this program crops a little more:(

Hey Lora,
I agree with Bettypauze.. you are being too hard on yourself. These are very nice, indeed! Hope you had fun at class tonight ☺

Maybe that's my problem. I stand too close to my projects. I think 10 or 12 feed would be good. Even better if I take my glasses off.

Thanks for the nudge guys:) Class was good. We learned a little more about etching. Like the acid is reusable! Just put it back in the bottle & use till it's brown. That's a good thing, ha.
Bren, I've got some glass for ya:) I got another box of scrap. Got some cool cuts in it:)
And a lady in class suggested coloring books for patterns!!! I never would have thought of that! I need to make some SG for a couple of babies. L8RG8R

Glad you enjoyed your glass...I'm never pleased with a piece that I leave with no patina..always find my works looks terrible...so patina is a must for me..
When you go to the studio and if she has projects hanging choose one that has no patina, turn your back to it and then turn facing it- first thing you will see is all the glass sections...now find one that has black patina and do same, when you turn it will be pleasing to the eye..all blended together...

I enjoy the antique patina as well
It's a preference of choice though..that's just mine!

OH wait Betty, I took that pic before the top one was even soldered. The bottom one is hubB's and he got his soldered, not leaded. I just laid mine out in place.
I have to admit, I'm drawn to the copper look. But I haven't tried the copper patina yet.
We put black on both of those, eventually.
I'm not sorry I started this new hobby. Here's a toast to SG;-) with coffee, ha.
