Hello again everyone. I am really impressed with the talent I see on here. I would like to pop in a couple of my latest paintings . One is of a lovely Bluebell wood. The other two are some of our Australian parrots. First, two Crimson Rosellas, then male and female Gang Gang Cockatoos.. i am just starting to try my hand at birds but really love to paint landscapes.
These are all oil on canvas which will eventually be framed.

Beautiful! I can just imagine meandering through those trees, plucking up some bluebells to put into a vase. Really pretty birds too!

thank you, Janet. I wouldn't mind being there today either. We have had just on 2 weeks of very hot weather and no end in sight . It's supposed to be Autumn but I think the cold is staying in the northern hemisphere for the moment.

The colors are fabulous in every one. The way you bring in the light really makes them pop.

Lovely paintings. I have always loved bird paintings and hope to find some time to do some more someday. It has been years since I did birds. Your forest is awesome. I love the blue carpet. Looks like a place I would love to visit. Your style is lovely, very realistic.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. It gives one incentive to keep painting and showing.
It is a very relaxing hobby .I do like to try for a realistic look , as I think if I am painting a tree, it should look like a tree. I enjoy doing landscapes but am trying my hand at our native birds. I hope to show and sell a few later in the year when the annual Art Show comes up.
