My Alyssum is just gorgeous right now (I think I planted it in January) and I wondered what happens when the flowers start to die...do I simply cut them back (using pruning shears or ?). I have it growing in a border area and it loves to lean against the rock ledger columns and spill out along the sidewalk. It's just stunning. I had no idea my little border would be so lovely. I've also got the little english daisies throughout so there is more than just a white blanket (although that would be just as beautiful).
Since I'm new at this, I wondered how long the flowers will last and what I'll need to do to make sure they continue next year or is that not possible? Will it look really bare and sparse come November/December?
Thanks,
Nancy
