When I purchased this plant in 2003 at Target, it was a homely looking plant that had been marked down to $4.98. There were 7 tiny bulbs in the pot and I was thinking "7 plants for $4.98, can't pass that up. I took it to work and my co-workers made fun of it so I brought it home (too many negative vibes at work) to nurse it back to health.
The smaller photo shows the plant on 11/14/04. I wish I had taken a better photo. The other photo is one that I took last month. I wish the unbelievers in 2003 could see it now.
The Snake Plant in the photo is from cuttings of a plant I got from my mother in 1999 (cuttings were taken in 2004). I was beginning to think that the cuttings were not going to make it but as you can see, they're doing just fine. The original plant got really big and it began to lose it's beauty so I cut it back severly. It's beginning to put out new growth and I can't wait to put it outside to give it a boost.
