I have some moso bamboo I grew from seed, starting about six weeks ago. I have several shoots 3-5 inches tall. They're in peat pots filled with soilless mixture and topped with sand. I have another group, started three weeks ago, that hasn't sprouted yet.
When should I transplant them, and to what? My goal is to have potted bamboo, some inside, some out. I may or may not ever get up the courage to put them in the ground. For now, healthy and happy in pots will do fine.
Most of the information I can find online deals with outplanting, and talks about various ways of hardening them off, preparing the site, etc., all things that don't apply to WANTING to keep them in pots.
Can anyone suggest the proper soil, pot size, timing, and so forth?
