    Your eggs are beautiful Karen, but my heart is broken...you didn't write my name with a crayon before you dipped them to make me a special egg...I'll get over it...someday...maybe... :) Great article! Natural dyed eggs are the prettiest!!!

    why can't you eat these eggs? what a little cumin or onion and vinegar going to do?

    Karri_sue (the author of the article) answered this question on one of the other comment threads...it's not the spices or vinegar...it's the fact that with a lot of the natural dyes you are using raw eggs and not cooking them the proper amount of time for edible eggs, and then leaving them sitting out for display. If you made sure to cook them long enough and didn't leave them sitting out on display you could eat them. Hope this helps. :)
