Last year I joined the Midwest peony Society and bought a bunch of stuff from their live auction. I am very excited about my new peonies, but I'll probably get rid of 15% of them since I got a little over-exuberant at the auction. LOL! I probably bought some ugly ones, too, because there were a few I bought where no one bid against me. :))
Meanwhile, I now have an area that you could call a Peony Bed...exclusively peonies. They were planted to stay put, so are planted far apart, but it will look pretty bare-nekked next summer.
What kinds of annuals could I interplant with them for color? I have seeds of most everything, but I need to get them started, y'know? I know they don't like competition, and that they should probably be short and all, but if anybody has any ideas, pictures, or help & guidance for me, I would surely appreciate it!
