I have a bit of a dilemma. Yesterday I changed up my feeders. I changed out the 4-hanger metal pole for a single shephard's hook pole. Which also means I am only hanging one feeder now instead of two. I also moved the feeder/pole to a slightly different location. It's a little closer to the house and just a couple feet from the original spot. I have seen the hummer zipping around the new pole and location, but it is NOT nectaring from the feeder at all. It usually flies in and sits and sips for long periods of time. My biggest fear is of course that it may leave to find another feeders somewhere else since I disturbed it's feeder here in my yard.
My questions:
1) Will my hummer eventually use the feeder at it's new location?
2) Should I continue to give the hummer 2 feeders to choose from?
3) Any other helpful suggestions about my situation?
Thanks in advance!
