As always, I enjoyed your article--and especially love the mental image of your mom relocating monardas on the sneak!

After quite a search, I finally found a seed source for monarda bartlettii, which is rumored to do better in hot and dry conditions. Unfortunately, I've had no luck getting them to germinate. :( I don't have very many seeds, so I hate to keep trying randomly. Any suggestions?

I've never tried them from seed, they spread fast enough up here by themselves :))

Okay, thanks for letting me know. Maybe I'll go ask over on the propagation forum and see if they've got any tips for me.
