I'll be glad to take some off your hands. I had some when we moved in and my husband pulled them all out 'cause he thought they were weeds - anything green growing in brown dirt area that is not grass. I just planted some more this year in hope that they'll become invasive!

Me, too! I have a couple of pips in peat just waiting to be planted. Fortunately I have a semi-shady area down by the creek where it can spread to its heart's content.

Thanks for the article.

I miss the little invasives! I used to have a pretty groundcover of them back home, but here in Miami, I tried twice to grow them. Las time, 2 out of 10 sprouted/broke dormancy and died on me in less than a week! I guess "daring Mother Nature" just didn't work for me this time!
Thank you, Lois, for bringing back such nice memories! I could feel their scent while reading and looking at the pictures!

I know, I know! I was just trying to defy the "zones" and have a few of my home plants growing... maybe, just maybe, I'll try them again when I'll move from Miami.

Anyone care to donate some pips? Purchased a box of corms, followed planting directions. No luck! Tried once before without success!
