I just expect the grocery store to make a mistake EVERY time I shop. Usually something is supposed to be on sale and it rings up at regular price, but now lately it's happening at nurseries!
Almost every time I get home from Home Depot, Lowe's, Red Barn, etc. and begin to enter my purchases on my data base, I'm either over charged or undercharged...sometimes as much as $20 when I buy large amounts of plants! I think the checkout people (most of them, at least) don't bother to be accurate or are too lazy to go check a price and just make one up! I'm usually too tired / excited / distracted by thoughts of what I missed, plans for when I get home, etc. to watch what they are doing at the moment. A few days ago I bought 10 of something and was charged for 12. Before I could call them, I went to another place reminded the checker of a flat of plants on the lower level of my cart and they still didn't get scanned. Perhaps those scanners don't work half the time?
I guess it all evens out eventually! :-)
Does this happen to y'all also? Click the image for an enlarged view.
