Hi. i read somewhere that you shouldn't put cut daffs in with other cut flowers because they secrete some toxic substance. Is that true?
Thanks in advance-

That is what I have heard from Terry as well, not sure what happens exactly but as Star says the pros will likely head you in the right direction soon.

Hi GeorgiaJo, I was told not to mix daffs with any other flowers in water. They release a latex slime which is toxic to other flowers. Sorry for the delay!

Thanks terri and others--- I had posted a similar question on the Bulbs forum and got a response with a great link from Dahlianut. Apparently, you can put them together, but only if you first soak the daffs by themselves.

thanks to all.

Hey Jo,
I haven't looked at the link, but recently read somewhere that they need to soak seperately for 24 hours, then they can be added to the other flowers.

Hope this helps.
