Nice article...we keep a wash tub full of Sphagnum Moss set in the soil with a screen bottom. My guess is that we have had night crawlers, night walkers and such in the tub for twenty years. We had to replace the tub but the Sphagnum just gets a little fresh added each spring. They get fed corn meal and ground leaves. They are fat and sassy. We have never had to add any since the first coffee can full we placed in that moss.
