Seeing the thumbnail picture, I wondered how the bottom would be. When I peeped in to the blue jeans [in the main article], I saw what I wanted!! LOL. There were concealed containers to hold the soil and I am very impressed with this new creation. Very nice idea! Thanks Mel.

Can't wait to make one of these from those jeans that won't ever fit again, no matter how much I wish they would! :/

From the photos, it looks like the leg bottoms have been sewn together, but you never mentioned that.

This is such a creative idea. I love it!

No, the leg bottoms are open. They just hang naturally.

Thanks for the compliments. And yes, we all have that beloved pair of jeans that deserves to be enshrined as a memorial to a size we will never see again.

LOVE IT! Thanks for the great idea! I always have a hard time parting with my 6 year old boys jeans, but they are always to worn to pass on. This will make a great conversation piece! I think I'll plant some of DH's old work boots and place them under some of his old work jeans and hang them at the family farm.

I was reading today's article and then clicked past articles ...my eyes landed on this one. I hadn't seen it back in 2008 I guess. Great idea, and I would add a pair of suspenders to hold it up.

Good to see your face after all these years too Melody. You need to put it on your id page instead of the quilt.
