I'm not sure what these tiny semi-transparent spheres are on our grapes. At first, I thought it was some tiny water droplets, but they seem hard when I touched them. They are only in one section of the vine that is about 5 feet off the ground. As for location, our garden is located in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area.

They do look like slug eggs, but I don't think they would be off the ground like the picture in question. It would be too dry for them. If you squish a slug egg, you can tell it's a slug egg. Li'l spheroids o' slime.
It is probably just sap exuded from the high root pressure in the spring. I've cut grape stems in the spring and the sap gushes out due the high root pressure this time of year.
