Just finished the waxing and polishing and hung it in the "test window". Sun is too far past the yardarm for backlighting, but there is always tomorrow, if there is a break in the rain and snow.
Thanks Janet. The color choices were fun. Although it doesn't show up in the picture there is some green. Blue and yellow make green, red and blue make purple. Thats all the color in the piece, red, blue, yellow, green and purple. Somewhat inane I know, but whats the use of playing if you can't have fun.
i have a tiffany style lamp that i got for next to nothing because it has cracks, is lopsided etc--i know i can do something with it tho--any ideas? i do not to stained glass so i cannot repair it --i might just take off the top (dome like shape) and put it in the garden somewhere but wonder if anyone has ideas--
If you have some low-voltage lighting in your garden it would look nice to put the shade over one of the lights. Unless it is a "real" Tiffany or similar, it usually isn't worth repairing anyway. The garden sounds like a suitable spot for it.
