I just painted our kitchen. Soffit runs around 1/2 of the kitchen. The other side of the kitchen the cabinets go to the ceiling. The space between the top cabinet and the ceiling is maybe 2 inches. What does crown molding on soffits look like?

We put crown molding on the cabinets if there are softits or even if there are none. Seems to make everything finished.
So I would put it all the way around. There is some that is 2½" wide, that should cover the space. If there is not room for crown on the softit, use cove molding.
How about a picture when you are done.

Thanks Bernie. Our cabinets have maybe a 1/4 strip as there is very little room between the cabinet door tops and the ceiling. I will look at the 2 1/2 you referred to.
I will post a pix soon.
