What veggies do NOT like wood ash in the soil? I think I read that if the soil is alkaline never use ashes - acidic soil is ok in small amounts. I'm hoping to use some on my corn patch and mix small amounts about 6" down into the soil. Pure wood ashes with no plastic, junk, etc in them. Thanks.
