I have a Lyeland cypress tree the is beginning to be affected by the brown branches disease caused by either seiridium canker or botryosphaeria canker. I need to know is it worth just pruning off the affected 1-2 branches of this 40' tall tree or just remove the tree entirely? I have a tree removal service coming next week on monday to take care of some other items and wanted to know which direction I can possibly take with this one tree. Of course the guy on the phone said remove it but he has a slightly viewpoint since he would be paid to remove it. Pls advise. Thanks.
