Hi, I am new & just moved from Perris, CA to AZ. It's cold here so I need some houseplants. I got an oriental totem pole that is just developing "nubs" & today I saw a Dracaena Massangeana at Home Depot. They told me it's a corn plant. Are these the same plants or just in the same family?
While I'm at it when do I plant my totem pole in soil? thanks
I think (although I'm not positive) that the totem pole plant is a Cordyline (another common name for these is Ti or Hawaiian Ti). Cordyline and Dracaena are very closely related genera, so they're related but not the same plant.
