So out here we're starting to get hot, and slowly but surely my cool weather crops are finishing up. This is my first year for leeks, and I'm wondering--does the floppy top mean it's time to harvest? I'm guessing the base is about maybe an inch or so in diameter. (I forgot about trenching when I planted it, so I'm afraid there won't be much white to it, but I'm thrilled to do this well anyway--started this baby from seed!)
Thanks for the help! Click the image for an enlarged view.
