Can anyone identify this bird ?
Yesterday I saw these birds looking it over, they (two of them) going in and out.
They had no nesting material but one of the birds stayed inside for maybe 5 minutes.
I built this bird house just to decorate my rose trellis , it has no ventilation or drain holes in the box.
I sure it will be hot inside.

Very cute!

A Chickadee yes but more likely a Carolina Chickadee, can you put some drainage holes in it?

I apologize. You live in N. Kentucky so it could be either one or even a hybrid Chickadee.

Thanks for the info. I will drill some today before they get too far along with their home.
I now have a robin rebuilding a nest from which the last babies have left.
Guess I must now get into Birding :-)

Yep. It's a black-capped chickadee. My little flock get so angry with me when I'm near the feeder garder. They will start angrily chirping at me! The nerve!

Ditto to Pelle - it's a Carolina Chickadee. Out of range for Black-capped.
