    		 The American Bamboo Society is having their annual conference in San Francisco this year. See: http://www.americanbamboo.org/TemporaryStuff/2008ABSAnnualMe...
    The dates are November 5th - 9th, 2008 and the meetings and presentations will be held at the S.F. Zoo. There will be scheduled tours, and events in the Bay area.
    Last year's conference was at Longwood Gardens in PA.
    The last ABS meeting in San Francisco was in 1994.
