This is a beutiful plant, not sure what it is, somewhat new to non tropicals. This plant was a resident of house we purchased last year. Let me know what species it is?

Bleeding heart -- specifically, Dicentra, not to be confused with bleeding heart vine. It likes a shady, moist area. It's a woodland plant that dies down to the ground after blooming and emerges again next spring. Don't be surprised when it disappears -- it hasn't died.

More specifically, Dicentra spectabilis. Appropriately named, I'd say. |
