Yipes. I sprinkled the contents of 2 packets of purple poppy seeds (from lilybulb.com) into a 30-cell growing tray. I thought that, with my track record, only a quarter of them would germinate. But it seems they ALL did! I now have 30 congested clumps of baby poppies.
They won't survive if I plant each clump "as is", right? How can I best thin them? How 'bout if I use tiny cuticle scissors to nip out most of the seedlings from each cell? Would this work to keep the roots of the spared ones from being disturbed?
Any suggestions? I need your help.
