I posted to Daily Pics about a crow and squirrel encounter this a.m., and thinking about that reminded me of the recent behavior of my cat (Cujo) and blue parakeet (Blue Parakeet). DS and I were commenting that they seem to have developed a relationship that we had never noticed before. Cujo lies on the back on the couch about 5 ft. from the bird cage. I can't even describe the sounds they make back and forth, but it's weird! It's not stalking sounds, not scolding, just . . . I don't know, communicating. Anyone else have that experience?

How fascinating! There are probably many more instances if we were all just more aware...

I hope we hear stories from others.

Hi Pelle - Is there a story to share about your cat and parrot? I'd love to hear it.

Hi OP, Its not really a story. I have 3 cats and theres only 1 the parrot trust, This cat can do anything even touch nose to beak w/ him. Tory (the cat) can sit all day on the same table where the cage is located. The parrot will even call him by name in a very exagerrated name,Toreeeee! The only time I get concerned is when the cat raises his tail; thats a little too tempting for the parrot. :-)

BTW, the cat is indoors and declawed.
