This is something we are giving a good try this year. With the price of fuel, we cut out most of the bedding plants. (I am noticing the big boxes aren't selling so cheap now either.)
We are raising veggies in them, no heat required. That's how we were able to sell lettuce already. We were planting this morning. Then I pruned the tomatoes. Picture was before I pruned.
Lots of rain last night, but I don't see any new wash-outs. That's always a problem here. Farmers are getting way behind on planting. Corn should have been done by now & soybeans nearly finished.
