Hi, Carrie, Came across your butterfly story when I was looking up Earth Day on DG. What a nice story!

But I can't believe you have so few butterflies in Milton!? I know you must have lots of beautiful flowers in your garden and it seems like your suburb is surrounded by green space and golf courses so it's very interesting to me that you don't get butterflies. (But maybe they do a lot of spraying for mosquitos or other bugs around you.)

Anyway, I was wondering if you will be planting more coneflowers and other butterfly favorites this year? It sounds like it would be a fun challenge to try to attract more butterflies this year.

I always enjoy your articles! Thanks again. t.

Oh, thank YOU for writing! I will try to plant more butterfly plants this year, but maybe not coneflowers - they are too tall for me. More annuals - I have several flats growing outside ...
