I was so happy to see my hummingbirds back this morning for the first time. I started putting out nectar in mid april but today was the first time I saw them. I saw both a male and a female maybe they will nest near by : )

Oh I'm so jealous! Send some my way! :) I've got so many red flowers out front that my house is starting to look like a plant nursery.

I love to see them pirched so you can get good look at them. I don't think I am fast enough to get them in flight but that would be cool they were back and forth all day y-day and so far today I have seen the female this morning. My camera is on the kitchen counter at the ready. I love spring!

Very nice pic Laura! It is much easier to get them in a perched position.

Hi, I saw my first hummers back in March but they went away for awhile but I think it was because of all the honeysuckle. I've started seeing one male again but so far no females. Are they nesting right now?
I got one of those little tube feeders for Mother's Day and have it hung outside my kitchen window and am hoping to get a good picture to post.

Birdlady, I feel your pain! I have planted several window boxes with red flowers and have had my feeder up for weeks but still no sign of them. I feel like Ricky Nelson singing "Where, oh where could my hummers be?" :)

Congrats!! Although we have been having passers by for the last month, our regulars seem to be starting to show up finally. I can't wait to get some pics!
