I've always cut my peonies off and put them in the vase, so I've never seen the flowers left on the plant and the petals fall off. Anyway, there is a clump of something in the middle of the one peony bloom that I have on one plant. Do you know what it might be? I may have photo if necessary. It's a Karl Rosenfield.
