I've really been enjoying the fledglings that have been visiting my feeders lately, but one of them has a strange growth on her wing. It doesn't seem to keep her from flying but it does seem to bother her. I know there is nothing I can do, but it's a pity just the same.
She's out again today. Unlike the other fledglings that will try a little seed now and then, she just sits there and waits for Daddy to come and feed her. I don't think Daddy is going to keep feeding them for much longer though...
