Hi all, my lovely boyfriend bought me 2 new orchids for my collection - Vandas! I have never tried vandas before because I've heard they can be difficult. I live in Houston, and everything I'm reading on vandas say that they like warmth... which Houston has plenty of. Do ya'll think it would be safe for me to grow them outside? I tried my phals outside and they did terribly. Right now the average temp during the day is in the 80's, and the further in to summer we get that number will go up to the 90's. It is almost always HUMID because I live close to the coast, which I read the vandas also like. My only concern would be that they may get too hot outside. Any thoughts?
