| Neat idea! The battery operated x-mas wreath lights would look great too if you don't have enough sunlight to run the solars. (I Don't) |

| Just old bird cages. The other night I had people coming over so I lowered them and put big globe candles in them. It was awesome. I have them so I can lower them to get into them. |

| I have a bird cage that I made into planter. Line it with one of those coir liners and you have a new hanging pot. It's my favorite hanging planter in the yard. I look for more all the time now. I would like to have all my hanging plants in cages. |

| LOVE the colors you've chosen for your birdhouses...what a lovely setting..will have to get out and purchase some paint for mine, one is black the other white but yours are so much more attractive..purchased a budgie (battery operated) for mine, looks so realistic, chirps by motion lol sometimes I'm out to turn him off only to find out it's the real birds chirping... |

I think it is called a coir liner. It's the liners used in wrought iron planters that are open. Some people put holes in them all around to form a ball shaped planter with annuals surounding it. Kinda like a big ball of plants. That is the next thing I want to try out.

| oh-i know what you mean --so instead of saying "you know, those things that are like moss or something and you can put them in some kind of metal basket that is open" i can now just say "coir liner"!! fancy that! |

| What is your system for raising and lowering them? I'd love to know as I just use electrical wire and make a huge loop around a branch and then use the metal hangers on them and hang whatever I have from that. You've come up with an awesome idea! I love the idea of putting candles in them. That had to have looked pretty. I totally lack creativity. Never had it as a child and don't have it now so I get great ideas you all of you! I feel sorry for my kids because I can't pass any creativity on to them. :,( |

| I use thin nylon rope. Throw it over the branch, attach the cage or chandilier then pull it up and tie it off to a nail on the trunk of the tree. That way I can raise or lower them as needed. |

| Bettypauze, when you get that chair done can you post it? I have a chair collection in the yard (I just can't pass up a pretty chair being trown out) and have wanted to do the same thing. I just got some sedums from a co-op and think it would look really cute.
I'll have to post my chair with a pot in it (we need a fancy name for 'chair with a pot' too!!) it looks pretty cool to me. We just tore out the seat and threw a pot in. |

| I have 10 foot ceilings and hang chairs as decorations. I also use them as plant stands, lamp tables, etc. The ones inside are antique or really unique. One is painted with a face on it that an artist friend gave me when she moved away. I love my chairs |

| The cage I have was found on the side of the road. It's just about as tall as I am. It's a bit rusty, but not too bad. I want to give it a good coat of hammered metal paint before I "place" it.
I knew that name sounded familiar, but I couldn't remember from where.I see so many names each day here on Dave's. I'm glad you like it. I've had some of these books for a long time and thought it was time to share them with others. |

He doesnt share my T2T vision.. lol.. So thank you so much for the much needed idea.. and I even know right where I am going to hang them.. Thank you |

| Are those Elm trees that your cages are in? They look big and large and the trunks the same as my Elm. Which has spread it's roots everywhere in my yard and is tearing up my patio, but i love that tree. I have two birdcages in it now, but I need to add something to them. They were in the house, the rounded kind and the bottoms come out, they are black right now.
