Right now I think you have to use the existing DG feedback system--click on the person's username and you'll see an option to leave feedback for them.

Or, if you go to the item you purchased, on the righthand side, view feedback. On that screen, you can offer your own feedback.

Thanks for posting. I too wanted to know how to leave feedback on my first purchase.
I just left the feedback and it was easy to do.

Feel free to use the member-to-member feedback system for now. Once I get the "real" Marketplace feedback system in place, you will have the opportunity to go back and leave feedback on those past items you bought (and sold).

Couple of questions...

I thought it was going to be for individuals only, not vendors... did this change?

I also thought it was going to be a "bidding" system... not every one an exact amount... did this change?

Thanks,

Anyone can sell, Donna. I'm pretty sure it was always intended to be that way... A lot of our members are also vendors, and they have always been included in the discussion about the Marketplace.

Originally it was going to be an auction, but a flat price was easier to set up, so Dave started us out that way. The jury is still out on whether we will eventually have auctions, but it's looking unlikely at this point.

I hope that helps. :-)

I just remember, I believe, Dave stating that vendors wouldn't be able to sell... that's all.

I don't remember him saying that, I had assumed they would be able to sell here too. After all, they can sell on Ebay, and when Dave brought up the original idea of the auction it was to give people an alternative to Ebay as they kept increasing their fees, etc. I think some of the vendors who are subscribers here who had been selling on Ebay were some of the original force behind the idea and have been supportive of it all along, so I don't see any reason to exclude them (not to mention if we didn't let them sell, that would cut down on the number of wonderful things we could buy, and who'd want that!).

You are probably confusing this with the co-ops here at DG. Vendors are not allowed to organize co-ops.

No, we were talking about the auction... but obviously I was mistaken. It's not a big deal... I was merely curious.

I know a lot of vendors are DG members. I have no problem with it. Just curious.

I have a question about feedback - I bought 2 different items from the same person with about a week between sales. I left the 1st feedback and when I went to leave the second feedback it only let me edit the 1st feedback. Is there a way to leave more then 1 feedback on the sellers feeback page?
Also is there a way you can allow the sellers name (in the previous buyers order section) to be clickable so you dont have to go all the way back threw the "auction" to leave the feedback?
Thanks!

At least for now we have to use the regular DG feedback, which will only let you leave one feedback for a person, you can edit later but can't make a new one. I'm not sure if that'll change or not when Dave gets a separate feedback going--my guess is it'll stay that way since that's the way Garden Watchdog works now too, you can edit/add to an existing review and change your rating, but you can't make a new review.
